Face Lift — Turn Back the Clock, Keep Your Look

A modern facelift repositions the deep facial tissues (SMAS layer) for a naturally rejuvenated result that lasts 8–10 years — without the pulled or windswept appearance of older techniques.

Mini Facelift (Short-Scar)

A limited incision in front of and around the ear addresses mild-to-moderate jowling and lower-face laxity. The SMAS layer is tightened through a shorter access point, with less downtime than a full facelift. Ideal for patients in their 40s with early facial descent who want a natural correction without major surgery.

€5,500 – €7,000

MOST POPULAR

Full Facelift (SMAS Technique)

The incision runs from the temple, in front of and behind the ear, into the lower scalp. The SMAS — the fibromuscular layer beneath the skin — is repositioned rather than simply tightened, producing a natural and durable result. Excess skin is trimmed without tension. The gold standard for comprehensive mid-face and lower-face rejuvenation.

€7,000 – €9,500

Facelift + Neck Lift

The neck is addressed simultaneously: platysmal bands (vertical neck cords) are released and tightened through a small incision under the chin, and the neck skin is re-draped. Combined with a full facelift, this creates the complete lower-face and neck rejuvenation most patients in their 50s–60s require.

€8,500 – €12,000

Recovery Timeline

Stage 1

Day 1 — Consultation & 3D Assessment

Facial photographs taken in standardised lighting. Surgeon assesses skin quality, tissue descent, bone structure and fat redistribution. The treatment plan — incision design, SMAS technique and any adjunct procedures (fat grafting, blepharoplasty) — is explained and agreed.

Stage 2

Day 2 — Surgery

General anaesthesia. Duration 2–5 hours depending on extent. One hospital night. A light compression bandage is applied around the face and chin. Drains placed if needed.

Stage 3

Day 3–5 — Drains & Dressing Removal

Clinic check: drains and dressings removed. Bruising and swelling are at their peak — this is normal. Head must remain elevated. Light fluids and soft food only.

Stage 4

Week 1–2 — Suture Removal & Rest

Sutures removed progressively between day 7 and day 14. Significant bruising resolves; remaining yellow discolouration can be covered with makeup from day 10. Most patients are comfortable indoors during this phase.

Stage 5

Week 3–4 — Social Return

Most patients return to social and professional life at 2–3 weeks. Mild swelling in the cheeks and around the ears persists but is not conspicuous in normal lighting.

Stage 6

Month 3–6 — Settled Result

Final contour established as residual swelling completely resolves. Scars — running in hairlines and natural skin folds — are pale and largely imperceptible by month 6. The result continues to look natural as the face ages gradually thereafter.
