Dental Treatment in Turkey: The Complete Patient Guide (2026)

Dental treatment in Turkey costs 50–70% less than in the UK or Germany. At Firma Clinic in 2026 a titanium implant starts at €250 for the fixture, a fully restored tooth — implant, abutment and zirconia crown — starts at €470, and a premium Straumann or Nobel Biocare implant with crown starts at €850. A full-arch All-on-4 starts at €5,500 and a complete Hollywood Smile at €3,290. Most patients need 5–7 days in Istanbul for veneers and crowns, and two trips separated by 3–6 months for implants. This guide covers every number, every timeline and every verification step in one place.

What dental treatment costs in Turkey in 2026

Firma Clinic pricing, broken down by component so you can see exactly what you are buying:

Dental implant (titanium fixture) — from €250 · the implant itself, placed and left to integrate

Zirconia crown — from €220 per unit · milled in the in-house laboratory in as little as 3 days

Fully restored tooth (implant + abutment + zirconia crown) — from €470 · the realistic all-in figure for one replaced tooth

Premium implant with crown (Straumann / Nobel Biocare) — from €850 · €850–€1,200 depending on case

All-on-4 (full arch, four implants) — €5,500–€7,500 per jaw · provisional bridge fitted on surgery day

All-on-6 (full arch, six implants) — €7,000–€9,500 per jaw · for higher bite forces or thinner bone

Hollywood Smile (16–20 units) — from €3,290 · E-max veneers or zirconium crowns, digitally designed

Dental veneer — from €180 per tooth

The same work elsewhere in 2026:

United Kingdom — single implant approx. £2,000–£2,800 · full veneer set from approx. £3,300

Germany — single implant approx. €1,800–€3,000

United States — single implant approx. $5,000 · Hollywood Smile from $15,000

Istanbul market average — implants €400–€900, veneers $150–$450 per tooth, Hollywood Smile packages $2,450–$7,000

Now the sentence that matters most in this guide, because it is where patients get caught: an implant is not a tooth. The fixture is one component. The abutment and the crown are separate ones. A large part of the market — in Turkey and everywhere else — advertises the fixture price and lets you discover the rest once you are in the chair.

Firma Clinic publishes every component: €250 for the implant, €220 for the zirconia crown, €470 for the finished tooth, €850 if you choose a Straumann or Nobel Biocare fixture. Ask every clinic on your shortlist the same question — does your price include the abutment and the crown? The answer separates a real quote from a headline number, and it will tell you more about a clinic than any review page.

The five treatments international patients travel for
Dental implants

A titanium fixture replaces the missing tooth root and preserves the jawbone, which a bridge or denture cannot do. Adjacent healthy teeth are never touched. Modern implants show 95–98% survival at ten years in healthy non-smokers. Treatment runs across two trips with 3–6 months of osseointegration between them. Full details, timeline and package contents are on our dental implants page.

All-on-4 and All-on-6

An entire upper or lower jaw of fixed teeth carried on four or six implants. The angled placement in All-on-4 uses your existing bone and often removes the need for grafting, and a provisional bridge is fitted the same day — you never leave the clinic without teeth. All-on-6 adds two fixtures for patients with stronger biting forces or thinner bone, and allows a wider range of prosthetic materials. Published ten-year success sits at 94–98% for All-on-4 and 96–99% for All-on-6. Compare both on our All-on-4 / All-on-6 page.

Hollywood Smile

Sixteen to twenty E-max veneers or zirconium crowns, designed digitally around your face shape, lip line and skin tone. You approve the design on screen and try it in your own mouth before a single tooth is prepared — this step is what separates a designed smile from the over-filed results that made headlines. See the Hollywood Smile page for the full process.

Zirconia crowns

A single block of zirconia milled to the exact shape of your tooth and matched to your natural shade. Stronger than porcelain and resistant to chipping, which makes it the default choice for molars and for patients who grind. Finished in the in-house laboratory in as little as three days — details on the zirconia crowns page.

Veneers

Ultra-thin ceramic or composite shells bonded to the front surface, correcting colour, shape, gaps and minor misalignment with minimal removal of natural tooth structure. The key distinction from crowns is exactly how much tooth is removed — we break this down in veneers vs crowns for a Hollywood smile, and the material options are on the veneers page.

How long you actually stay in Istanbul

Veneers, crowns, Hollywood Smile — one trip of 5–7 days · design, preparation, temporaries, final fitting

Single implant — two trips · 3–5 days for surgery, then 4–6 days at month 4–6 for the crown

All-on-4 / All-on-6 — two trips · 5–7 days for surgery with a same-day provisional bridge, then 5–7 days at month 4–6 for the final prosthesis

Bone graft or sinus lift required — adds 3–6 months of healing before implants can be placed

Root canal, extraction, cleaning — usually folded into an existing trip without extra days

A realistic day-by-day breakdown for a dental trip is in our guide on how many days you need in Istanbul for dental treatment.

Is it safe? What actually regulates dentistry in Turkey

Four independent layers, and you can verify all of them before you fly:

Ministry of Health authorisation — any clinic legally treating international patients holds an International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate and is registered on the HealthTürkiye portal · ask for the certificate number

TİTCK approval and CE marking — every implant, abutment and material used in Turkey must carry the EU CE certificate and approval from the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, with a traceable lot number

TUSKA accreditation — the Turkish Health Services Quality and Accreditation Institute, now mandatory for facilities serving international patients through 2026 · audits infection control, records and complication management

JCI and ISO — Joint Commission International is the global gold standard for hospital accreditation, and Turkey holds one of the highest counts of JCI-accredited facilities worldwide · Firma Clinic operates through JCI- and ISO-accredited partner hospitals in Istanbul

The full breakdown of certifications, brands and what to demand in writing is in our dedicated guide on whether dental implants in Turkey are safe.

Implant brands and why the name matters

Systems in use across Istanbul, by tier:

Straumann (Switzerland) — the most documented implant system worldwide · decades of survival data · premium

Nobel Biocare (Switzerland/USA) — extensive full-arch and immediate-loading documentation · premium

Bego (Germany) — strong European engineering · upper-mid

MegaGen and Osstem (South Korea) — very widely used in Turkey · solid published data · mid

Nucleoss (Turkey) — CE-marked domestic system · budget-to-mid

All of these are CE-marked, so tier alone does not make an implant unsafe. What the brand changes is the depth of published data behind it and whether a dentist in your home country can source a component ten years from now.

Firma Clinic offers both tiers openly — a CE-marked mid-tier fixture from €250, or Straumann and Nobel Biocare from €850 with the brand written into the quote. What is never acceptable, from us or anyone else, is a quote that says only “titanium implant” with no brand named at all. That is the red flag, not the price level.

Every patient leaves Istanbul with an implant passport listing brand, model, diameter, length and lot number of each fixture, plus a post-op panoramic X-ray and a guarantee certificate. Without that document, no dentist anywhere can service your implants properly.

What a complete package must include

3D CBCT scan on arrival — bone volume and density decide grafting, not photographs

Written treatment plan and fixed quote issued the same day — before any tooth is touched

Named surgeon — full name, specialty, years of implantology experience

Named implant brand and prosthetic material — in writing

Hospital or clinic accreditation — JCI, ISO, Ministry of Health certificate number

Hotel, airport transfers and clinic transfers — coordinated, not “recommended”

Interpreter or a coordinator in your own language — Firma Clinic works with Russian, Turkish, Romanian and English-speaking coordinators

Implant passport, guarantee certificate and post-op X-ray — issued at handover

Aftercare schedule — a named contact at month 1, 6 and 12, in your language

The arrival process, transfers and first-day sequence are described in what to expect on your first day at Firma Clinic.

Ten checks before you book any clinic

Ministry of Health tourism authorisation number — ask directly

Named, board-certified dentist or surgeon — not “our expert team”

Implant brand and prosthetic material stated in the quote

CBCT before surgery — a plan written from photos alone is an estimate

Written guarantee — what is covered, for how long, who pays the return flight for revision

Number of trips stated upfront — anyone promising full implant treatment in one visit for every case is overselling

Real patient cases with X-rays — not stock photography

A price that states what it covers — ask directly whether the abutment and crown are inside the figure. A fixture price presented as a finished-tooth price is the single most common reason patients feel misled at the clinic

Aftercare beyond the airport — named contact, defined intervals

The clinic asks about your medical history before quoting — diabetes, blood thinners, smoking and bisphosphonates all change the plan

Where the “Turkey teeth” stories come from

Almost none of the viral cases are implant cases. They are healthy teeth aggressively filed down for full-mouth crowns in a single visit, often with no periodontal treatment first and no digital design step. That is a treatment-planning failure, and it happens in any country where speed is sold above diagnosis.

The protective steps are specific and you can insist on all of them: a digital smile design you approve on screen, a mock-up tried in your own mouth before preparation, minimal-preparation veneers where the tooth allows, and gum health treated before any cosmetic work. If a clinic proposes twenty crowns without a periodontal assessment, that is the moment to walk away.

Who is a candidate — and who should wait

Good candidate — stable general health, gum disease treated or treatable, sufficient bone or willingness to graft, non-smoker or willing to stop 3–4 weeks pre-surgery

Needs preparation first — active periodontitis, untreated decay, uncontrolled diabetes with HbA1c above 8%, heavy smoking

Needs medical clearance — blood thinners, bisphosphonate therapy, recent radiotherapy to the jaw, immunosuppression

Should not travel yet — anyone in acute pain or infection · that needs treating locally before elective travel

Turkey versus the UK, Germany and Romania

Cost is the obvious difference, but three others matter more when you compare properly:

Speed — a full-arch case that takes 9–12 months of appointments at home compresses into two trips, because the surgical, laboratory and prosthetic steps are scheduled back-to-back

In-house laboratory — crowns and bridges milled on site in 2–3 days rather than sent out and waited on

Coordination — hotel, transfers and translation handled as one package rather than assembled by you

The trade-off — follow-up is remote, so the guarantee terms and aftercare protocol matter far more than they would at home. That is what you should negotiate hardest on, not the price

For patients travelling from Romania and Moldova, the direct flight from Bucharest or Chișinău is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes, which makes the second trip easy to fit into a long weekend. The broader case for Istanbul as a destination is in 7 reasons to choose Turkey for your procedure.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I see €250 and €850 quoted for the same thing?

Because they are not the same thing. €250 is the titanium fixture on its own. €470 is a fully restored tooth — fixture, abutment and zirconia crown. €850 is that same finished tooth built on a premium Straumann or Nobel Biocare fixture. Any clinic you compare us against should be able to tell you which of those three its headline price refers to.

Will I be left without teeth between the two trips?

No. For All-on-4 and All-on-6 a provisional fixed bridge is attached on surgery day. For single implants in the visible zone, a temporary crown or bridge is fitted before you fly home.

Is dental treatment in Turkey painful?

Implant placement is done under local anaesthesia with optional IV sedation and is generally reported as less uncomfortable than an extraction. Swelling peaks at day 2–3 and resolves within a week.

How much does a full mouth of dental implants cost in Turkey?

Both jaws on All-on-4 run €11,000–€15,000 total at Firma Clinic pricing, and All-on-6 €14,000–€19,000. The same work in the UK or Germany typically starts at three to four times that.

What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?

You hold a guarantee certificate and an implant passport with lot numbers, so a local dentist can identify and service the work. Confirm before booking whether revision treatment and the return flight are covered, and get it in writing.

Do I need a bone graft?

Only the CBCT scan can answer that. Roughly speaking, long-standing missing teeth and upper back molars are the most common graft cases. All-on-4’s angled placement avoids grafting in many patients who were told at home that they needed it.

Can I get everything done in one trip?

Veneers, crowns and a Hollywood Smile — yes, in 5–7 days. Implants — no, except in specific immediate-loading cases. Any clinic promising single-trip implants for every patient is selling convenience over biology.
